Systematic Kinesiology is a powerful combination of
traditional Oriental knowledge on meridian energy flow (acupuncture
vessels) with chiropractic techniques and concepts and osteopathy, all
sealed together with nutritional assessment, dietary advice, stress
management and the physiotherapeutic testing of muscles. A wide range
of health professionals have been trained by the Academy of Systematic
Kinesiology including GPs, osteopaths, chiropractors, homeopaths,
acupuncturists and dentists (Butler, 1992).
Kinesiology is quite literally "the language of the body".
Communication is about 55% body language, hence it is a fantastic way
for the therapist to interact with you. No need to explain at length
how you feel, by testing muscles using verified
techniques (International College of Applied Kinesiology, U.S.A.;
Association of Systematic Kinesiology, U.K.) the kinesiologist reveals
imbalances that unravel the information held by the body, which
encompass the whole self (emotional, biochemical, physical and
energetic). The root of the imbalances can then be
treated simply.
The biofeedback directly from the body indicates what is required to
correct the presenting symptom and more critically the
underlying cause. The practitioner restores balance within the
body simply and effectively, relieving energy blockages, reducing
tension and enhancing the body's detoxifcation and natural healing
abilities. The origins of these techniques were discovered by Dr.
George Goodheart (U.S. chiropractor) in 1964.
Nutritional supplements
Supplements are often a vital part of treatment and greatly assist a
speedy return to well being. They are an important and valuable part of
your investment in your own health.
Bach flower remedies can also play an
important role in assisting with the release of emotions (important for
healing and prevention of health problems).
Food sensitivity testing
This is one of the most powerful tools at a kinesiologist's disposal.
Please bring any specific foods you want assessed (small samples
suffice). We also have a small range of food samples in the clinic for
additional testing. Eating foods which weaken the body can play a major
role in many chronic health conditions such as IBS, ME, candida, fluid
retention, PMS, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, arthritis, depression etc.
